ICI Innovations has been selected as the successful proponent for the Pre-Regional Study Database and Data Collection Project, issued by the Mackenzie Valley Environmental Impact Review Board (MVEIRB).
This important initiative will help lay the foundation for a future Regional Study for the Slave Geological Province (SGP) – an area of increasing national interest due to its mineral potential, environmental sensitivity, and the critical role it may play in Canada’s transition to a low-carbon economy. The project aligns with Canada’s Critical Minerals Strategy and emphasizes Indigenous engagement, co-management, and long-term sustainability.
Our RIVAS software suite was chosen to power this initiative. Specifically, the platform will deploy the following integrated modules:
- ReportViz – for intuitive analysis and visual reporting of complex datasets
- Document Manager – for secure, structured access to regulatory and project-specific documents
- Engagement Manager – to support collaborative input from Indigenous groups, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders
In its award letter, the Review Board commended ICI’s approach, stating:
“Your proposal demonstrated a clear and thorough understanding of the project’s objectives… and positions you well to deliver a product that supports the long-term vision of the Board and its co-management partners.”
Through this implementation, ICI will support the integration of environmental, socio-economic, and Traditional Knowledge data into a secure, scalable, and user-friendly platform – helping to advance informed decision-making and responsible development in northern Canada.
We look forward to working with the Board and its partners across the region to deliver a solution that supports a responsible, stakeholder-led approach to project development
